Do you have questions about how you child learns and processes information?

Do you need clarification on potential psychological diagnosis?

Is you child struggling in schools?

Do you need diagnostic clarification to help them get the proper academic supports?

A Neuropsychology Evaluation will help answer your questions.

What is a Neuropsychological Assessment?

Neuropsychological assessments evaluate the cognitive, attention-related, and social emotional aspects of learning in order to determine whether interventions are necessary.  Academic testing can also be conducted as part of the evaluation if parents have concerns about their child’s ability to learn reading, writing, or math at the same pace as peers.

Neuropsychological evaluations typically take several hours and are conducted over one day. Prior to testing, comprehensive background information regarding medical history, developmental milestones, and family history is collected.  The testing includes assessments that determine learning style, mental health needs, and executive functioning skills (e.g., organization, planning, etc.).

After completing the evaluation, a comprehensive report, which includes background information, assessment results and interpretation, diagnoses, and recommendations is provided to the family within 2-3 weeks maximum.

Why should I choose an evaluator at Lemon Tree?

Choosing an evaluator can be complicated, and we understand that families invest a lot of money and time when choosing to have an evaluation completed.  Drs. Mansfield and McGravey have experience in schools and in clinical settings, so their reports include recommendations that families and schools find feasible and helpful in designing academic and mental health interventions for children and adolescents.

They have a range of experience working with children from as young as 3 years old to young adults in their twenties. Rather than offering a cookie-cutter evaluation, Drs. Mansfield and McGravey will work with their clients to make sure the evaluation answers questions the family has and provides the most relevant information to inform treatment.

Lemon Tree neuropsychological services stands out from others because they rarely have a long wait, complete reports within 2-3 weeks of the testing appointment, and communicate effectively with schools, therapists, and others in order to determine what recommendations will best help a child or young adult in need.
